Dan Kazell - Mortgage Advisor

I was born and raised in Denver, so I’m one of the few natives left! Aside from a couple years during college, I’ve never called anywhere else home. I’m well aware we live in one of the most desirable places in the country!

I’ve been helping families buy homes since 2014, prior to which I worked in different advertising and marketing positions. I do still have a marketing mindset, so it’s fun to bring that aspect of my experience into an industry otherwise not really known for the promotional side of things.

At home I’m married to the most beautiful person I know, and together we’ve got a little girl who has Dad wrapped firmly around her finger. We’ve also got a couple of dogs, Raleigh and Murphy. Together we love to enjoy the outdoors in Colorado, travel different places, and stay in shape at our local CrossFit gym or the gym we built in our garage. Having an athletic background and playing baseball through college, I love anything sports or competition. I’m a fan of all of the local sports teams, though my favorite team overall is the St. Louis Cardinals. Our family roots lie in the Midwest, so Cardinal baseball is like a religion in the Kazell household.

Mike Kazell - Mortgage Advisor

The Greater Denver area is a special part of the world and I am grateful to be native of this community.  We are fortunate to live and work in a thriving part of our country where opportunity is abundant.  I am proud to be a part of the Strive Mortgage team and proud of the approach we use to consult families when making financial decisions.  Buying a house is a big deal!  Arguably, it involves the three most emotional parts of your life: 1) your family, 2)  your money, and 3) the place you call home.  For most of us, our home is the largest asset on our balance sheet.  It’s important to me our clients feel the confidence that the solutions we tailor to their needs will help them accomplish short term and long term financial goals.

I’ve enjoyed working in the mortgage industry since 2004.  The experience of helping families and business partners achieve major lifetime milestones has been incredibly humbling.  I’ve worn several hats throughout my career in this industry. From being a mortgage adviser, to a sales trainer and manager, and most recently a strategic advisor. It’s fair to say I enjoy everything about this industry when it comes to helping companies put in place plans for efficiency and growth!

At home I have the support of my wonderful girlfriend, Michelle and our 9 pound chihuahua, Sally and our French Bulldog puppy, Lina.  You will commonly find us enjoying all of our favorite neighborhood hangouts near Wash Park.  Traveling and experiencing different cultures is something I truly enjoy. It is always healthy to get a different perspective from various parts of the world.  I am an avid vinyl record collector and have a wide range of taste when it comes to musical selections.  Sitting down and enjoying a nice glass of whisky while listening to artists like Hendrix, Sinatra, or The Allman Brothers after a productive day at the office sounds like a good time to me!

Growing up in Colorado, I have had many experiences all over the state. I love the outdoors, attending local events, and cooking for an army or just a small party of eight. Taylor Gordon - Production Partner/Mortgage Advisor Assistant

I was born and raised in Colorado and I love calling this beautiful state my home. I was first connected with Dan Kazell in 2018 when my husband and I purchased our first home. We learned very quickly how competitive the Denver market was and decided to start our roots in a townhome in Northglenn. Shortly after having our first baby in 2020, we decided that we wanted to upgrade to a bigger home and moved to Thornton. 

While I am new to this industry, I am very familiar with the process that our clients go through when purchasing a home. I believe that buying a home is one of the greatest milestones in someone's life and should be a smooth process. I am looking forward to learning more about this amazing industry and helping our clients achieve their goals.

At home I am married to my wonderful husband Tyler and we have a one-year-old daughter named Blayke. Blayke is a sweet, fiery toddler with a bold personality.  As a family we enjoy spending time in the mountains, and we love camping and fly-fishing! Tyler and I also love to go to breweries around town and try out new IPA’s.
